Short-Term Outcomes Following Endoscopic Proximal Hamstring Repair

Open surgical management of proximal hamstring tears appear to yield superior outcomes versus non- operative, however, little is known about the efficacy performing an endoscopic repair. Therefore, purpose this study was evaluate repair (ePHR). Specifically, we evaluated: (1) functional and subjective outcomes; (2) effectiveness treatment (pre-to-post-operative change); (3) complications; (4) acute chronic tears; (5) partial complete tears. A retrospective cohort performed on a consecutive series patients who underwent ePHR with minimum 1- year follow-up (range, 12 48 months). Charts were analyzed for pre post-operative passive range motion (PROM), strength, VAS pain, UCLA activity, modified Harris Hip (mHHS) scores. Complications including re-tear site, infection, iatrogenic nerve injury, inability return work/sport, persistent weakness, pain sitting, subsequent surgery recorded.
